Nimble nail machine7/21/2023 ![]() ![]() The device then autonomously paints the nails using the precise amount of polish for a perfect manicure. Nimble is developed with groundbreaking technology in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine vision along with a series of complex algorithms to replicate behavioral mechanics – which scan each individual nail to identify where the nail starts and ends. This first-ever compact nail painting system can automatically paint your nails within seconds, offering long lasting, salon quality manicures from the comfort of home. Holding onto my popcorn for this one as October 2022 rapidly approaches.Nimble the world’s first device that uses artificial intelligence to self-paint and dry nails in under 10 minutes, is available for pre-order today, April 12th on Kickstarter at an exclusive price of $299, and after pre-order it will retail for $399. No post has been made on any of their pages (outside of Kickstarter) since May 2021. Nimble has also pretty much abandoned their social media, despite hiring a dedicated social media person. Some backers were apparently surprised that the device they showed in the older videos was so large, and they were properly gaslight with the response that "Well it's not that much bigger than what was shown in the campaign", which is demonstrably false. Backers have asked for something more recent, which was addressed with silence. Nimble has still not offered any updated photos or videos since the ones they were forced to provide last year. Some are also upset because currency fluxuations have occurred in the EU, thereby costing some backers 20% just for waiting. International backers are rightfully upset because it really makes no sense that they care about them waiting a few more weeks or months than US backers, seeing as though they were supposed to get this thing almost a year ago initially and haven't gotten anything yet. Well, a few days ago, international backers all got an email stating that they were having their orders canceled because they "wouldn't be able to get their orders at the same time as the other backers" (paraphrasing here). 2 days before May they say, Oh snap! We can't have these to y'all until October because, uh shipping!!.īackers have been rightfully pissed and Nimble has thus far offered no updates on the device itself outside of nail polish selection and a wall of text about international trips for the staff and site visits from manufacturers. January came and went and they said May!. As October fast approached, the date got pushed to January. Updates - Nimble was supposed to be 'in backers hands' last October. It's been awhile since anyone talked about this project. If you have any tips for this subreddit, please use the "message the moderators" button below.
